Maintenance Technician

Century Foam is recruiting Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join our team. The Maintenance Department looks after all machinery in the manufacturing plant. The Technicians are responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical maintenance is performed daily. This Technician must be familiar with performing preventative maintenance checks, troubleshooting, repairing and performing maintenance on a different type of Hydraulic and Pneumatic machinery, PLC’s and Electrical Systems.

The Maintenance Technician role will encompass a hands-on approach and be responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment performing efficiently through preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, and troubleshooting issues as they arise .

Century Foam fabricates foam materials for commercial furniture, mobile homes, marine, recreational vehicles and other various manufacturing industries.

Responsibilities:

• Repair machinery throughout the plant

• Coordinate and direct manufacturing team members to achieve efficient completion of repairs and preventative maintenance

• Maintain a preventative maintenance program for applicable equipment and machinery

• Schedule and prioritize maintenance to ensure coverage for unexpected breakdowns and to maximize department efficiency

• Work with Plant Leadership to establish maintenance standards, procedures, and programs to ensure efficient operations

• Design and implement reactive maintenance log to capture real costs associated with the maintenance of equipment

• Observe manufacturing process to propose and develop ways to implement automation and increase production efficiency

• Develop an inventory management strategy for the maintenance crib

• Purchasing repair parts and maintaining inventory of tools

• Works with vendors to secure estimates and cost quotes as needed

• Identify, develop, and implement safety initiatives in support of business needs

• Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience

• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical aptitude

• PLC capabilities a plus

• Experience working within OSHA safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE

• Strong computer skills; working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
