Open position:  AutoCAD Drafter

Reports To: Drafting Engineering Manager

Position Summary

Creates accurate AutoCAD drawings, production files, and patterns that support prototypes and samples for production use. Works with other drafters, the Sales team, and Production to turn drawings into materials for our customers.  

Essential Duties

·         Create and revise detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings and production documentation.

·         Develop programs, patterns, and jigs for prototypes, samples, and production.

·         Review customer and project requirements with drafting, Sales team, and Production.

·         Check drawings for accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

·         Incorporate approved design changes and maintain organized drawing records and related notes.

·         Support continuous improvement in product quality, consistency, and manufacturing methods.

Qualifications

·         Proficiency in AutoCAD or comparable computer-aided design software.  (2-3 years of work experience)

·         Ability to read and create technical drawings for manufacturing.

·         Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and clear communication.

·         Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and organized document control.

·         Manufacturing or production drafting experience preferred.
